Install in Salesforce
Base package 1.71.0 — subscriber package ID 04tal000007CXIjAAO. Use your usual install process or:
Typical predecessor: 1.70.0 (04tal000007CWzNAAW).
Highlights
- Reliable product-interest ownership: New Product Interest records consistently receive the correct Store Associate on insert — either the contact owner (primary SA) or the creating user, depending on your Customer Profile Setting.
- Fixes preference attribution from the customer profile: Marking a product as a favourite no longer bypasses the central assignment rules introduced in 1.70.
What’s new for everyone
- Preferences land on the right associate: When a store associate adds a product interest from the customer profile, Store Associate is set automatically at save time instead of relying on duplicate logic in the profile UI.
- Primary-SA mode works on every new preference: If your org uses Assign Preferences To Primary SA, every new Product Interest is attributed to the contact owner — not only the first preference on a contact.
- Default mode unchanged for associates: When Assign Preferences To Primary SA is off, new preferences still default to the associate who created them.
What’s new for administrators and data stewards
Product Interest — Store Associate on insert
- On insert only: Store Associate is populated when a Product Interest row is created. Updates to existing rows no longer re-run assignment logic.
- Assign Preferences To Primary SA = on: Store Associate is set to the Contact owner for each new Product Interest.
- Assign Preferences To Primary SA = off (default): Store Associate defaults to the current user when left blank on insert.
Customer Profile Setting (unchanged from 1.70)
Customer Profile Setting → Assign Preferences To Primary SA — Same checkbox and help text as 1.70. 1.71 corrects how consistently the setting is applied when associates add preferences from the customer profile.
Upgrading from 1.70 to 1.71
- Standard managed-package upgrade; no data migration or scheduler changes.
- Re-assign WIQ User and WIQ Admin after install.
- Review a sample of new Product Interest rows in sandbox after upgrade if you rely on Assign Preferences To Primary SA for reporting or ownership.
Upgrading from earlier releases
Orgs not yet on 1.70 should upgrade through 1.70 (or directly to 1.71) and follow Release 1.70 and, for journey cutover from 1.67, Release 1.68.
