Base package 1.66.0 — subscriber package ID 04tal0000079VrlAAE. Use your usual install process or:
Typical predecessor: 1.65.0 (04tal000006wd5ZAAQ).
Highlights
- Files on activities: When enabled for your org, teammates can attach files when logging notes and tasks, and preview attachments on the activity timeline for tasks, calls, events, and emails.
- Safer handling of invalid emails from integrations: A new Contact field stores the email value received from external systems when the standard Email field cannot be populated, with a clear Invalid Email indicator on the customer profile.
- Smarter 90-day follow-up: The automated 90 days since last visit email is sent based on visit timing and deliverability; whether the customer sees a preference update link is controlled separately on the Contact.
- More reliable customer profile: Activities without a linked store no longer prevent the profile from loading; the store is shown as Unknown when missing.
- Branded follow-up copy (Branding 1.7): The 90 days since last visit template shows different messaging depending on whether Allow Update Preference is checked on the customer.
What’s new for everyone
- Attachments on notes and tasks: Optional file uploads when creating activities (when your administrator has turned this on), with a simple file picker and the ability to remove files before saving.
- Attachment previews on the timeline: Open or review files linked to tasks, calls, events, and outbound emails directly from activity details, including image thumbnails where supported.
- Invalid email visibility: If an integration supplies an email that Salesforce cannot store on the standard Email field, the profile still shows the address and an Invalid Email badge so the team knows outreach may need correction.
- 90-day follow-up for more customers: Customers who reach 90 days since last visit and have a valid Email can receive the follow-up message even when they are not opted in for self-service preference updates—the email content adapts instead of skipping the send entirely.
- Preference link only when allowed: Customers with Allow Update Preference enabled see the self-service preference link in the follow-up email; others receive alternate wording that directs them to contact the store.
- Clearer store on activities: Task and call details show the linked store name when present, or Unknown when no store is associated, so the customer profile stays usable for legacy or integration-created activities.
- Store visit modal: Footer actions on the create store visit dialog are spaced consistently so Close and Create Visit are easier to use.
What’s new for administrators and data stewards
- Contact → Raw Email: Stores the email string from integrations when the standard Email field cannot be set (for example invalid or non-compliant values). The customer profile and detail views use Raw Email for display when Email is empty, and flag the record as having an invalid email for follow-up.
- Contact → Allow Update Preference: Help text is clarified: this checkbox controls whether the 90 days since last visit email includes the update preference self-service link—not whether the follow-up email is sent at all. The automated batch now targets contacts at 90 days since last visit with a populated Email and who have not bounced, independent of this flag.
- Customer Profile Setting → Allow Files On Activities: Check this to let users attach files when creating notes and tasks and to show attachment previews on the activity timeline for supported activity types. Default is off; enable when your org is ready for file storage and review on customer activities.
- Customer Profile Setting → Hide 90 Days Follow-Up Email Preview: Check this to hide the 90 days follow-up preview section in email customization. This is separate from hiding the Allow Update Preference field on the customer detail layout.
- Email customization preview: The upcoming 90 days follow-up preview respects Hide 90 Days Follow-Up Email Preview instead of the preference-field visibility setting, so you can hide the preview without hiding Allow Update Preference on the profile.
- Branding package (1.7): Upgrade WovenIQ - Branding if you rely on the packaged 90 days since last visit template so body copy matches Allow Update Preference (preference link block vs. contact-the-store messaging).
- Data stewardship: Use Raw Email to reconcile integration payloads with deliverable addresses; correct or merge contacts before relying on automated email or survey flows that require a valid standard Email.
